Pam Tidey FBDO (Hons) CL
Contact Lens Optician
Pam co founded Spectrum Eyecare in 1991.
She has an Honours Diploma in Contact Lens fitting and splits her time between contact lenses and running the practice. Spectrum Eyecares latest venture is the exciting field of Ortho K lenses.
Julian Silburn FBDO
Dispensing Optician Extraordinaire
Julian's love of Optics has made him a specialist in his own field. No prescription and no face shape are too daunting for Julian he positively rises to the challenge. This has gained him the utmost respect amongst his colleagues and patients alike.
Angela Whitney FBDO RSTA Craniosacral
Dispensing Optician
Angela is our part-time Dispensing Optician as she has a second string to her bow. Above the main floors of the practice are some therapy rooms called the Well Being Centre. Here Angela practices as a Cranial Sacral Therapist.
Linda Weller
Receptionist
A long standing patient of Spectrum Eyecare, joined us in reception in 2001. Has an encyclopaedic knowledge of Lewes where she was born and bred. A jolly person to be around as as she is always laughing.
Rita Divall
Rita grew up in Lewes and has three children. Having worked at Police HQ for 10 years she wanted a change and has now joined us to become more invloved with people and certainly enjoys seeing lots of familiar faces at reception.
Colin Davidson BSc (Hons) MCOptom
Optometrist
Having worked with Pam some 15 years ago Colin is delighted to be back in Lewes to renew his working relationship.
His special interests are contact lenses and dry eyes. Colin also teaches and assesses students for the College of Optometrists.
Sarah Daniels BSc (Hons) MCOptomDCLP
Optometrist
Has worked for many respected opticians including Moorfields Eye Hospital. Owns a Grand piano and has recorded several CD's of her music, has a passion for anything chocolate.
Mandy Davidson BSc (Hons) MCOptom
Optometrist
Having her own young family, Mandy is particularly popular with children. She splits her time between home with Charlotte, Lydia and Optometrist husband Colin and here in Lewes.
Celeste Cook BSc (Hons) MCOptom
Optometrist
Originally from Ireland with a lovely Irish brogue also a chocoholic, loves running and horse riding. Well known for her cartooning with an artistic flair.
Jackie Gilligan
Accounts Manager
Raised huge amounts of funds for Spectrum Eyecare to sponsor a Guide Dog for the Blind, by cycling with her husband Clive from Lands End to John O'Groats. As Jackie lives in Lewes we all descend on her at Bonfire night and enjoy her kind hospitality as she has fantastic views of the celebrations.
Jo Taylor FBDO
Dispensing Optician
Jo has joined our very busy reception and is also a Dispensing Optician. Jo splits her time between Lewes and home where she has a little boy called Lewis.
Helen Tigg
Dispensing Optician
Helen is our newest member of staff to join our Dispensing team. She has a wealth of Optics experience spanning 20 years. She gleans great pleasure from seeing the fruits of her labours in the finished pair of specs. Her current hobby is gaining a City & Guilds in painting and decorating.
